Comment Policy

This is a moderated blog, and we will review all comments before posting them.

We welcome your comments at any time, but we will review and post them only during regular business hours. If you submit comments after hours or during a weekend or holiday, we will review and post them the next business day.

Comments should abide by a few general rules: Be respectful to others, stay on topic and don’t disclose personal information. If your comments include vulgar language, personal attacks or otherwise offensive material; are off-topic; solicit funds; infringe on copyrights; or promote commercial products, services or organizations, we won’t post them. We also won’t post comments that discuss the particulars of individual grants and applications. We may not publish comments on posts that are more than a few months old. We will only post comments from those who are 13 years or older.

When your comments don’t meet these simple guidelines, we reserve the right not to post them.

To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, please don’t include phone numbers or email addresses in the body of your comments.

If you want to post your comment anonymously, please include a pseudonym instead of your name when completing the online comment form. While your email address will not appear on the site, you will still need to submit it with your comment, and the blog’s administrators will be able to see it and use it if they need to contact you about your comment. When posting any subsequent comments on a specific blog entry, we ask that you use the same pseudonym so readers know that the comments are from the same person.

The views expressed in comments reflect those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official views of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, or the federal government.

Grant Applicants: If you have questions about a funding opportunity mentioned in this blog, please contact the listed person directly via email or phone.
